Congratulations, Robin! COO Robin Kocina will be honored at the 2016 Exceptional Businesswomen Awards. She has a gift for setting goals and finding ways to achieve them. Her mentorship has helped team members grow and flourish. She treats each one as an individual. As Social Media Writer Kris Best says, “Robin is an amazing leader. She truly cares about each employee, and inspires each of us to be our best. Not only for our clients, but also for our families and our community.”
The Exceptional Businesswomen Awards recognize 10 to 12 women each year. They highlight women who impact their communities and profession while working in Dakota County. We’re excited to see that one of our clients, Jane Pahl of Pahl’s Market, is also being honored this year.
An awards banquet will be held on March 3 in Lakeville. About 150 people, including public officials and local business leaders, usually attend.
Honorees also receive local press coverage in the Dakota County Tribune and Sun Thisweek newspapers. This is fitting, since Robin’s work has helped lead to media coverage for our clients. She makes sure everyone in our agency, from publicists to writers to web designers, can work in an efficient and client-focused manner. As Program Manager Alison Cromie explains, “Robin is an excellent mentor and I enjoy learning from her on a daily basis. She holds her employees accountable, which in turn keeps us all on track to reach our goals and be as productive as we can.”
We don’t always see the extra hours that business leaders spend planning next steps, answering correspondence or going over numbers. But we definitely see the impact they make in terms of jobs and changed lives. Thank you, Sun Thisweek, Dakota County Tribune and ECM Publishers, Inc. for presenting these awards. And congratulations again, Robin! I can’t wait to see you in the paper.
