Make sure your marketing is up to speed for 2021

How to write a marketing plan in just six steps

We’re days away from 2021. Is your marketing engine refueled with strategic, onpoint and creative ideas? When you are ready to step on the gas, will your campaign sputter to a start or give out a resounding roar?

After nearly three years, Strategically Aimed Marketing® is still trending big. For less than $30, you can have a roadmap that will guide your marketing to higher sales and a stronger brand. Plus, you’ll have the expertise and know-how of our agency supporting you.

Media Relations Agency first pioneered performance-based marketing (Pay Per Interview®) in 1987. Because we weren’t getting paid by the hour, we had to get really good at delivering results. We could not have predicted the impact our unique processes would have on our industry now, more than three decades later.

About three years ago, CEO Lonny Kocina captured our processes in a book: “The CEO’s Guide to Marketing, the book every marketer should read before their boss does.” In it, he named our six-step process Strategically Aimed Marketing, or SAM6® for short. The book is a straightforward, step-by-step guide to better marketing that can be read in about an hour.

His book has remained an Amazon best-seller and has earned marketing awards and accolades.

We also have free SAM6 tools on our website, including a handy implementation companion manual. These are tools we use all the time. I’ve lost count of how many marketers have read “The CEO’s Guide to Marketing” and contacted us about doing business together because they were so excited by what they’d learned.

(And just a teaser: Plans call for Strategically Aimed Marketing to become an accredited marketing class in 2021. Stay tuned for details.)

As Lonny says, reading “The CEO’s Guide to Marketing” will make you the smartest marketer in the room. And in today’s uncertain marketing environment, you want to own that prime position for your business!

To return to my opening metaphor: If you want to speed toward greater success in 2021, I suggest that you spend an hour reading this book. Then, gather your team to refuel your marketing engine with a higher octane and more strategic plan. Our publicists have great instincts because they all have media backgrounds. When things get hectic, it’s often Heather who cracks the first joke. “We encourage people to be a little goofy and unique. Some of the best ideas and solutions emerge because we know how to have fun,” she grins. “I may say something like, “Remember this is PR not the ER. Now, lighten up and go book a great story idea with the media!”
