When Lonny Kocina learned there is a website called IdeaMensch where entrepreneurs share their advice and inspiring stories, he was all in! After all, he’s spent decades helping businesses across the world reach and teach their audiences about their products. Now, Lonny is excited to reach even more entrepreneurs and teach them how to elevate the caliber of their marketing using the SAM 6 process outlined in his new best-selling book, “The CEO’s Guide to Marketing.”

IdeaMensch has published more than 2460 interviews with some of the country’s brightest entrepreneurs who are successful in their respective industries. Their stories teach and encourage others who want to launch or grow their own businesses.

For years, Lonny has taught college-level marketing to tomorrow’s business leaders, and conducted seminars across the country to educate business owners and marketing professionals about the most effective marketing processes. Now with his new book, he’s got a valuable tool to share with others that may result in more leads, higher sales and a stronger brand.

In his interview,  Lonny tells readers, “After founding Media Relations Agency 30 years ago, (we average about 45 employees), I realized two things: most marketers don’t know basic marketing concepts and most businesses don’t follow a sound marketing process. Because of that, companies big and small are losing a lot of money. I wanted to write a book to warn CEOs and also offer an easy-to-implement solution. I believe my book, “The CEO’s Guide to Marketing,” is 236 pages of the most practical marketing advice you will ever read.”

He also advises other entrepreneurs to, “Read self-help books. I keep flip cards with 365 positive sayings on my desk. The people I’ve met who think self-help books are corny haven’t been very successful.”

Lonny believes that business owners and leaders should continually strive to work on their businesses rather than in their businesses. With this book, he hopes to show others how to put the marketing processes in place that may make this happen.

Lonny will teach marketing seminars based on book and his successful SAM 6 process on December 6 and again on January 24. Admission is complimentary. Reserve your seat here.

I’m fortunate to have a very diverse background, which gives me a good perspective whenever we bring on a new client.” An IABC- and Mercury-award winner, Robin says her practical experience in the health sciences has proven particularly beneficial as she interprets clients’ scientific information for mainstream media. “But it’s no longer sufficient to write well,” she cautions. “As marketers, we must now comply with the intricacies of digital marketing. That involves a whole set of rules, which are constantly evolving.”
