Location, information and entertainment: Senior’s Expo offers perfect event marketing activities

by | Sep 23, 2010 | Advice & Tips

Think: seniors target market. Did you know that people ages 50-64 have been shown to be more willing to sample new products and services than any other group? This savvy demographic looks for the one-stop-do-it-all event experience.

The Seniors Expo, October 5-6, offers an easily accessible and comfortable location to get the latest healthcare information, clever entertainment and the face-to-face marketing opportunities seniors trust.

What better location than Minnesota’s most all-inclusive entertainment destination, Mystic Lake Casino? Seniors enjoy the amenities of a first class resort and casino with free, convenient shuttle service.

Add informational sessions with Humana, one of the Twin Cities’ leading healthcare providers. Humana is sponsoring special appearances by Michael Sherman M.D., who will give tips on how to be an informed health consumer, and Daniel Trajano, MD, who will teach seniors how to protect their health from diabetes complications. Representatives from Humana also will be on hand at the Seniors Expo to discuss healthcare options.

Great entertainment is one of the best ways to put people in the right mood to learn and to shop. This year’s Senior Expo marks the first “50+ Strut Your Stuff” talent contest. Contestants will be judged on evaluated on talent, creativity, enthusiasm and appearance.

The final piece of the experience: seniors enjoy the all-important face-to-face marketing experience.
Seniors can meet with exhibitors, and discuss products and services ranging from remodeling to fitness products. They feel confident and fully informed after this personal experience. When surveyed, 89% of our attendees said they prefer to buy from companies that participate in seniors events such as this one because they feel those companies understand their needs better. 93% said that if a company exhibits at seniors events year after year, they are more likely to buy from that company when they need their product or service.
