How to contact a publicist to promote your product during a crisis

Marketing Strategy

When the marketing environment is in crisis, it’s essential to be sensitive to the issues when promoting your product. As important, you can’t afford expensive missteps. You need to spend your marketing budget wisely. You need an experienced publicist who knows how to navigate a challenging marketing environment and get good results. I know how you can contact such a rockstar publicist. Or, possibly an entire team of them!

The best way to contact a publicist to promote your product during a crisis, is to first find publicists who have successfully booked media coverage during a crisis.

Media Relations Agency has been arranging media coverage for our clients for more than 33 years. That means that 2020 isn’t the first time we’ve helped clients navigate a national crisis. Because we are performance-based, we only get paid for results. With our Pay Per Interview publicity model, we don’t get paid to try. So, we’ve gotten very good at overcoming obstacles that may cause some publicists to switch careers.

When the country shut down, we immediately did three things:

  1. We closed our office. Within days, the entire staff was working from home. Since we already do much of our work remotely, this didn’t cause even a blip in our productivity.
  2. We strengthened our focus on basic marketing concepts and principles. Just as we pioneered Pay Per Interview, we also developed the six-step Strategically Aimed Marketing process. As two or three news topics dominated the media, we knew that, to be successful in pitching story ideas to the media during a crisis, we had to be even more compelling and on point. While referring to our clients’ code sheets, which document their key messaging, audiences and other essential details, we brainstormed new ways to position them for media stories.
  3. We worked individually with clients so that each remote interview they conducted was nearly in-studio quality. That helps ensure producers will invite them back.

I’ll make it easier for you: Call us at 952-697-5269 or use this contact form to arrange a conversation with our team. We will give you honest feedback and explain what you can expect when working with us. I hope to be pitching your story soon!
