I love talking about marketing.
What makes me an expert? A few things, I guess. I’m 60 years old and I’ve worked in marketing my entire adult life. I began as a commercial artist and was quickly promoted to marketing director at a company with sales in the hundreds of millions. That was back when people could still smoke in the office and no one had a computer on their desk. Then in 1986, I started Media Relations Agency from scratch out of my laundry room. Since then, we’ve served several hundred clients across the U.S. and globally, so we get to see what’s happening behind the scenes in lots of companies. Along the way, I’ve made a few million, and for fun I’ve taught principles of marketing at the college level. So, I think I can teach you a few things.
