You are making a mistake that Steve Jobs didn’t …

by | Dec 27, 2011 | Advice & Tips, MarketSmart Newsletters

The media produce millions of stories on a regular basis and if your company is like most, you are in none of them. That’s a huge marketing mistake. I’m half way through Steve Jobs’ biography. Like every other historical account of his company’s assent, the biography makes it clear that media coverage was a key mass communication strategy. No one has the ear of the country like reporters.

My company has been selling publicity and charging per story for 23 years. Some, like Breathe Right, credit us openly as a critical part of their success. Others want our relationship kept secret.

Every day that your company and its products are not in the media is a wasted opportunity. Put us to work getting all the media coverage we can find. Thousands of reporters and producers have used us to link them to businesses and products. Call us at 612-709-7200 and sign up with us. We will make sure the media know you want to connect with them.

Lonny likes to kid that his third grade teacher may have summed him up best with a note sent home on his report card. “Lonny is a daydreamer and he’s getting worse each day. He complains of a stomach ache a lot and I don’t think he likes school much either.”
