Inspiring women to achieve goals and fulfillment in their own lives is a personal and professional passion for President of Mid-America Events and Expos, Robin Kocina.
“When I started, there was not much for women businesses in terms of leadership” Kocina said. I believe if you have a passion and a strength you should volunteer in that area”
Bloomington Chamber of Commerce named Robin Kocina 2010 Volunteer of the Year. She has dedicated countless hours to organizations that empower women to achieve. We can only teach by learning and learn by doing – it takes dreams and efforts to make that happen.
Kocina has been a Chairman of the Board for WomenVenture, serves on the Leadership Board for the National Federation of Independent Business Owners and volunteers with many other organizations.
Robin Kocina serves as a role model for her employees with hands-on mentoring, encouragement to set and achieve personal and professional goals, and by creating incentives for people to surpass their personal best. Her natural ability to find a person’s strength and place them in a position to use this talent is used by the entire management team.
This “can do” attitude is contagious throughout Mid America Events & Expos.
Robin Kocina has become an empowering role model for those around her.
