Congratulations to Marnie Ochs-Raleigh, incoming chairman of the Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-MN). Marnie is CEO of Evolve Systems. She’s a likable, get-it-done individual and absolutely the right person to be in charge of this organization. You can read all about her ambitious plans for NAWBO in today’s front page Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal article. It was arranged by Publicist Sallie Crowl, who is doing a great job as a member of NAWBO-MN’s marketing committee.
Media Relations is proud to sponsor NAWBO-MN. We believe in supporting women’s economic prosperity, in great part because their success can have a positive impact on our local, state and national economies.
Founded in 1975, NAWBO propels women entrepreneurs into economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide. More than 35 years later, NAWBO is still the only organization that solely represents the interest of women entrepreneurs in all industries. The organization’s mission is to strengthen the wealth-creating capacity of its members and promote economic development; to create innovative and effective change in the business culture; to build strategic alliances, coalitions and affiliations; and to transform public policy and influence opinion makers.
Marnie has been a NAWBO member since 2008, and has served on its board for four years. Her drive as well as her passion for mentoring and supporting members of Minnesota’s business community make her a natural fit for this new position. She is a past board member of the Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce, Alexandra House and Rain Source Capital. Her honors include being named a 2013 Minneapolis St. Paul Business Journal Women in Business award winner, 2009 40 under 40, and NAWBO-MN’s Innovative Business Owner of the Year award in 2008 for her progressive thinking and technology expertise. The following year, she received NAWBO-MN’s Established Woman Award.
